European Court of Human Rights rules returns to Greece violate human rights

21 Jan 2011: The European Court of Human Rights has held that returning asylum-seekers to Greece under the Dublin II Regulation is a violation of the European Convention on Human Rights. Amnesty International says "today's landmark ruling will have a lasting impact by enhancing the protection of human rights of asylum-seekers in the European Union".

22 March 2012: Tougher entrance criteria, limits on work entitlements and the closure of the post-study work route are among the changes to the student visa system announced today by the Home Office. <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-12820645" target="_blank">BBC News</a> reports that student visa numbers could be cut by up to 80,000.
