Bloomsbury Professional has published the updated second edition of the renowned Symes and Jorro immigration law handbook.

CoverAuthored by Mark Symes and Peter Jorro of Garden Court Chambers, the Immigration Appeals and Remedies Handbook is, in the words of Mr Justice Lane, an invaluable work for all who practice in the field of immigration law.

You can find out more about the new edition and order it here.

Mark Symes says the new edition of the book is impressively up to date, with almost forty references to 2021 cases.

Alison Harvey of No5 Chambers, and formerly of ILPA, noted on Twitter that the new edition of Symes and Jorro offers a "fresh look at things I thought I knew, making me see them more clearly."

The book was launched last month and immigration practitioners should note that a series of free webinars by the authors accompany the launch.

The first webinar was held last Thursday and is now available to watch here on YouTube. There's an hour and a half of highly useful and informative content by Mark Symes and Peter Jorro.

Further webinars are scheduled for 12 July and 28 July. You can sign up here to attend.

Bloomsbury Professional notes that: "Immigration Appeals and Remedies Handbook, Second Edition covers all aspects of immigration and nationality appeals and challenges to decisions via administrative and judicial review.

"It explains the rights of appeal to the First-tier Tribunal onwards to the Upper Tribunal and higher courts, including practice and procedure and issues arising from remote hearings by video link."
