Immigration Adviser/Solicitor

North East Law Centre (NELC) is urgently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Immigration caseworker/solicitor to join our expanding team. The successful candidate must have IAAS/OISC Level 2/3 accreditation, good knowledge of the UK immigration policies; excellent verbal, drafting and interpersonal skills; high standard of client care; good organisational skills; ability to produce consistently high quality work as he/she will be expected to manage their own workload. 

The successful candidate must have over five years casework experience and will be required to support all our funded projects that provide free one-off advice sessions to people on low income, as well as privately paying clients.  They will also be required to provide training and workshops, as well as second tier advice to partner organisations and professional bodies.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 emergency, the team is working remotely from the Law Centre until further notice, therefore candidates outside the area will be considered.  Interviews will be held using Zoom and the successful applicant should be prepared to work remotely if appointed.

  • Salary: £29,500
  • Location: Normally Newcastle with travel throughout the North East but currently working remotely. 
  • Term: Permanent
  • Full time: 37hrs pw
