The Expert is a UK-educated Barrister and experienced in working over 10 years in Immigration, asylum, and human rights in the UK.

She was a registered adviser and an Immigration Consultant for a number of Law Firms in the UK. She worked both under Legal Aid and private fee-paying arrangements. She advised and represented asylum seekers in detention centres from different countries. She regularly attended courts and clients, briefing counsels, taking instructions from clients and preparing witness statements, conducting relevant legal research, and above all assisting the fee earners in the preparation of cases. Her area of practice was asylum and immigration, family, landlord-tenant, personal injury, conveyancing etc.

Since 2018, the expert has been practising as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and also, working as a part-time lecturer at the Law and Human Rights Department at the Ranada Shaha University of Bangladesh. As an expert on society and culture in south Asian countries, the expert visited india and attended different seminars on human rights, environment, gender, sexuality and minority rights i.e., Santal, Marma, Hindus, Christians, etc in Bangladesh. She has conducted research and provided lectures for minority protections in Bangladesh so as to ensure justice, freedom of speech and other political rights, anti-corruption, violence against women, minority rights, etc. Furthermore, the Expert has been working as a sub-editor in publishing the professional law report named “Counsel Law Report”.
