Description
This is the latest “flash” online course put on at short notice to address the latest issues & updates in immigration law. Also our latest offer celebrating 20 years of HJT being in business
We’ve had 130 days of respite from Rules changes – but now a minor avalanche is afoot, with sets of new Rules entering force from 12 April 2023. Join me for a 60-minute walk through of the latest changes.
- Introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation scheme for visiting/transiting the UK
- New Innovator Founder route – investment criteria removed and other employment restrictions relaxed (Start-up route abolished)
- Sponsored workers – new permitted absences and other changes, salary thresholds and going rates increase (and the calculation changes) – plus new opportunities for Australian managers setting up UK branches
- Global talent – clarifications to specified supporting evidence from endorsing bodies
- Youth Mobility – a better deal for New Zealanders
- Amendments to Temporary Worker routes – Government Authorised Exchange route tweaks duties of overarching bodies and grant periods, clarification of Charity Workers and supplementary volunteering
- Restructurings of familiar routes: new Appendix for Adult Dependent Relatives, rewrite of deportation rules, Appendix Family Reunion (Protection), Appendix Child joining a Non-Parent Relative (Protection)
- 10-year long residence criteria get some redefinition – champagne corks will fly at the Royal Courts of Justice (but only if the more controversial rules are affected!)
- Acceleration of asylum procedures for unaccompanied children
