This course will provide a basic background context with a view to covering intermediate/advanced issues in immigration law in sport. Delegates will have an understanding of: How immigration law operates in the professional sports context, the particular challenges to the sports sector ahead of January 2021, and the sport governing bodies – their policy framework and rationale on overseas players, their dealings with the Home Office, and preparations for the new Points Based System. Previous sessions have involved the Premier League, the RFU and the RFL, and we welcome the ECB's participation in this webinar.
