*New Resources*

New on our Trafficking Research page, the report of the Anti-Trafficking Monitoring Group, launched on 16 July 2010:

Wrong kind of victim? One year on: an analysis of UK measures to protect trafficked persons.

The report presents the results of research undertaken to monitor the first year of implementation across the UK of the Council of Europe Convention Against Trafficking in Human Beings from 01 April 2009 to 31 March 2010.  It finds that the UK Government’s anti-trafficking practice is not compliant with the Convention and, where it relates to children, is not compliant with other aspects of UK law or best practice.

ATLeP has published its updated Country Information Pack covering trafficking risks in China.

ATLeP - The Anti-Trafficking Legal Project - is a network of practitioners who advise represent and support victims of trafficking and other vulnerable people. The project was initiated because of our collective concern to pool knowledge and experience on trafficking and other vulnerable women and child victim cases.

ATLeP is open to all practitioners and we encourage colleagues to join and/or forward any other relevant cases, materials and reports to the group to make available to other practitioners.

To contact the group or for any other queries, please email Raggi Kotak: atlep1@gmail.com
