26 July 2010: The fast-track deportation of foreign nationals refused permission to remain in the UK has been declared unlawful by the High Court. A judge ruled that the Home Office policy meant people were being given "little or no notice" of removal and were deprived of access to justice.
07 July 2010: The Supreme Court of the United Kingom has unanimously ruled that two gay men from Iran and Cameroon have the right to asylum in Britain.
16 June 2010: A major new report by the Anti-Trafficking Monitoring Group finds that the UK’s new anti-trafficking measures are “not fit for purpose” and the government is breaching its obligations under the European Convention against Trafficking.
