James Brokenshire has confirmed on Twitter today that he is to remain in post as Immigration Minister.

Brokenshire said he was "delighted" to be reappointed by the Prime Minister.

The member of parliament for Old Bexley and Sidcup in South East London, Brokenshire first assumed the role of Minister of State for Security and Immigration in February 2014 following the resignation of Mark Harper.

Theresa May was reappointed as Home Secretary on Friday.
