Survivors of persecution, organized violence and trauma. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Rape, Trauma Syndrome, experience of torture; the psychological and emotional impact of such experiences

EXPERIENCE WITH NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL ORGs: Consulted by Barnardo's, NHS and Social services on torture, the refugee experience and the impact of culture on family relations and unaccompanied adolescents.

Has undertaken assessments for the NHS and has worked with MIND, Nafsiyat and the Refugee Council.

COUNTRY & IN-COUNTRY VISITS: Sudan 1982-3, Mozambique 1985-6, South Eastern Turkey (Kurdish region) 1991.
