Gina Clayton's unparalleled 'textbook' on Immigration Law - though far more than a textbook, more discursive than a textbook and not narrowly didactic as a textbook - for students and teachers and of undoubted value to practitioners and legal researchers; Revised, updated and re-structured - accompanied by online updates since completion of the manuscript, and online resources section with guidance to problem questions and revision questions for 'self-testing' of knowledge- on the OUP website

3rd Edition contains new chapter (ch 2) on 'policy, politics and media'; newly amalgamated chapter (Ch.7) on entry and a lucid overview of the extended system of immigration control; the appeals chapter (Ch.8) contains new sections on judicial review and grounds of appeal; and a very substantial section on the EU, incl. Ch.6 on 'Freedom of Movement', focusing on the Citizens' Directive - written with a 'hawk-eye' for legal discrepancies yet even readable by a non-specialist (Gina Clayton LLM. is Assistant Editor and Writer for the IAS Legal Update and the IAS Digest)
