HJT - Skills Workshop 3 for OISC Advisors: Evidencing an application

This workshop looks at putting together compelling documentary evidence in support of an application.

Whether making an application within or outside the Immigration Rules, the quality of the evidence relied upon will usually be the key to its success or failure. We will look at the principles of assessing documentary evidence, and assess the value of different types of evidence. We will consider:

  • What to evidence
  • Types of evidence
  • Provenance of evidence
  • Expert evidence
  • Presentation of evidence

Learning objective – advisers will be able to advise their clients of the evidential requirements of their case, and obtain the best evidence in support of the case.
