EIN is the largest specialist provider of information on UK immigration and refugee law via the internet. It provides a resource, not only for immigration practitioners but for asylum seekers and immigrants, students, journalists, judges, academics, parliamentary researchers and others with an interest in the field of immigration and asylum. The site comprises two main areas: the Public Site and the Members’ Site. The public site gives access to news and updates or information on the latest legislation and most recent case law, events and a general resources list which links to related sites.

For those who want to delve a little deeper into these materials, the Members Site gives access to our unique database that contains the case law, legislation, updates on policy and practice, information on events, job information and bulletin boards that enable users to consult with and contact fellow practitioners. It provides the only forum where there is easy access to all immigration and asylum-related decisions from the AIT up to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

The extensive case law database contains all reported AIT and IAT determinations, some unreported determinations as well as judgements from the higher courts in the UK and Europe. Selected documents from other English-speaking jurisdictions are also available. The case law and legislation databases are enhanced by an indexing system that provides a useful key for searching or browsing determinations, statutes or other documents. Our partners, HJT, provide an extensive country information database to which members can also subscribe. The whole package is a complete resource for practitioners and advisers, linking you to all the information you need for work, clients or research or simply enabling you to discuss and consult with other practitioners and advisers.

In order to access the Members Site you will need to join EIN. To contact EIN, please click here.
